Vintage Lady

                                                     Hello Crafty Friends,
Today I'm on CrafTangle/hndmd blog to share my this month design team inspiration project. In this month our challenge theme is make anything with pattern paper. I have make a mixed media canvas for my project. In my project, I have also used pattern paper.

    Here is my finish canvas:

I am using CraTangles decoupage paper as my focal point. I have create many different textures with different techniques in my project.

Let,s talk about different textures and techniques I’m used. First I fussy cut the girl image from Craftangles beautiful decoupage paper and decoupage it on my canvas. For her hat and scarf I am mix clay, paper texture paste, plaster of paris with chalk paints and apply with pallet knife. Stamping on clay and use them as vintage relief piece. Apply crackle gel on background and rub vintage gold wax for appearing the cracks. For more 3d look I have used a piece of gauge. Dip the gauge piece in mixture of fabric stiffener, plaster of paris and chalk paint. place the gauge as my desire place on canvas. For more vintage feel I have apply antiquing technique on all over canvas before apply crackling gel. I have mix black and brown acrylic paints with little water and apply it in little portion on canvas at a time then rub the excess paint with paper towel. Use brown acrylic for shading. Use vintage gold wax for highlighting all the textures. Lastly add some flowers, leaves, cotton lacee a small bow with same lace on her hat. Also dry brush same wax on flowers for vintage look and coordinate them to whole project.

   Here some more closeups:

Hope you all like my project. Thank you for stopping by.
